Here are a few things I learned lately when attempting my first wood refinishing project.
- do not sand wood when wet
- do not sand against the grain on an internal edge, you will never get the scratches out
- do not use wood filler that is a different color than your stain
- if you are slow at applying stain and want a light color, do not buy a dark stain
- if you are slow at applying Polyurethane, do not buy the fast drying type
